Adjust the cake ring to the desired size. The ring stays firmly in place once adjusted. Place the ring directly onto a serving dish for chilling cakes.
For baking cake layers in the oven: Place the cake ring on parchment paper on a baking sheet. Grease the sides as usual. Pour the batter into the ring and place it immediately in the preheated oven. We recommend using a palette knife to remove the cake from the ring.
For chilled cakes in the refrigerator: Lightly grease the ring or line the sides with plastic wrap and press cookie crumbs onto the bottom. This seals the bottom edge, allowing you to pour even loose fillings into the ring without them leaking out. Prepare the cake according to the recipe and chill in the refrigerator. Once the cake is set, it’s easy to remove the adjustable ring and plastic wrap. Additionally, cakes made directly on a serving dish or base using this method don’t need to be transferred separately, which is often more convenient than cakes chilled in springform pans.
