Easily create the best base for your cake with the FunCakes Mix for Sponge Cake Glutenfree. With this easy to prepare baking mix you can make fluffy, high and even sponge cakes of confectioner quality. Only add eggs and water to the mixture and, if you wish, grated lemon zest or a FunCakes flavour paste. You will bake a beautifully flat and tasty cake which you can then decorate in any way you wish.
The FunCakes gluten free mixes are produced in a gluten free facility. FunCakes can guarantee that the mixes contain less than 20mg / 20ppm gluten per kg. Most people with coeliac disease or gluten sensitivity will not get any symptoms with this low quantity. Therefore anyone who follows a strict gluten free diet can enjoy the safe baking mixes from FunCakes.
Preheat the oven to 170 °C (convection oven 160 °C). Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature. For a Ø25 cm cake, mix 400 g mix, 400 g eggs (8 eggs) and 30 ml water in a bowl. Whisk the mixture for 8 to 10 minutes on high speed, then 2 to 3 minutes on low speed. Grease a baking tin and fill it halfway to two thirds full. Bake the sponge cake in the centre of the oven for 35 to 40 minutes. Do not open the oven during baking. The sponge cake is ready when it feels springy. Remove from the tin immediately and let cool on a wire rack.
